Lionel Serrano Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lionel Serrano, age 45, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 here in Del Rio. He was born on April 14, 1975 in Del Rio. Lionel was employed at the Villarreal's Express Lube. He was shy but lovable with anyone he met. Lionel was a terrific auto mechanic in his past time. Preceding him in death was his father, Trinidad Almaraz Serrano; paternal grandparents: Maria and Trinidad Serrano; maternal grandparents: Petra and Guadalupe Andrade; and uncle, Joe Andrade. Family members left to cherish his memory include his beloved companion, Selina Gonzalez of Del Rio; mother, Rosario Cervantes of Del Rio; siblings: Estella Mesta and husband Jerry Mesta of Del Rio, Ralph Martinez (Jesse Martinez) of San Antonio, TX, Victor Serrano and Tanya Serrano of Del Rio, Juan Carlos Serrano of Del Rio, and Rebecca Serrano and husband Sergio Jimenez of Odessa, TX; Lionel is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 5 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A Chapel Service will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the San Felipe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Steve Serrano, Jesus Duñez, Paul Mesta, Ruben Becerra, Julio Zambrano, Angel Jalomos, Salvador Ramos, and Kris Villarreal.
